If you’ve been following along with this series, you’ll have noticed I’ve been going over some common mistakes I’m seeing people make on their websites. I’ll continue leaving you some quick insights and actionable items on how to approach your own website. Let me tell you about how you can leverage your blog posts to boost your rankings on Google and drive more organic traffic to your website.
How to Leverage Your Blog Posts to Boost your Google Ranking
I wish I could tell you that you can just set up a bunch of technical SEO and stuff your site with keywords and watch the traffic roll in. And while you might start to see traffic but this isn’t enough to see quality leads. By keyword stuffing you’re not really enticing anyone to come to your site for more, because you’re not serving anything to anyone. 👀
Using your blog is the best way to get your site onto google page one and start seeing quality leads. Blogs are not dead, in fact blogs are very much what keep you alive according to google.
Before you go on writing about just anything you want, remember that it all comes back to SERVING. Blogging allows you a chance to SERVE YOUR PEOPLE and also SERVE UP GOOGLE some quality information
Creating the Kind of Content Google Considers “Quality”
Google is looking for info that shows that your brand has:
→ Experience
→ Expertise
→ Authoritativeness
→ Trustworthiness
Likewise, this shouldn’t shock you, but this is exactly what your audience is looking for.
How Do I Start to Use My Blog Pages: 👈
Begin by sharing as much info as you can and be as specific as possible. This is a great way to incorporate keywords. Try to answer questions your audience has about your industry in as much detail as you possibly can and from your unique perspective. (Go back to Part One where I talk about point of view).
FOR EXAMPLE:
Let’s say you’re a nutrition coach serving up juicy food-as-fuel knowledge specifically for entrepreneurial moms.
To start, you might write posts packed with valuable tips for a specific season in life. (ex. Post-partum, fuelling your body for energy taxing days, meal prepping while running a business, what to prioritize on the days you don’t have time etc..)
Aboveall; it’s important to be genuine. Honesty is what connects.
BONUS TIP: ONE THING YOU CAN DO TO IMPROVE YOUR SEO TODAY
Add in a few organic keywords to the main areas on your site.
Some low lift keyword examples: your location, the name of the services you offer, your specific niche. Add them in above the fold, into your bio, your about page, into blog post titles, or in the footer.

So many service providers I come into contact with are burning themselves out, bending over backwards to get folks to buy into their services and purchase their products, all while totally ghosting their 24/7 passive salesman (their website).
