You may have noticed that I said how to use Chat GPT to “polish” not “write” your blog posts. This was really intentional.
It’s so important to use this ONLY as a tool to start or finish up your blogs, NOT to create your content from scratch.
Here’s Why Letting ChatGPT Write Your Blog Posts From Scratch is a Bad Idea
#1 As a fellow human being, it’s painfully obvious. When you post robot-generated text, it reads really … robotic. Which isn’t engaging, compelling or connecting. Don’t treat your audience like idiots; they’re not.
#2 Google knows, and has a very intense spam policy. Google can detect automatically generated content and will deindex your content from Google search very quickly.
This not only hurts your efforts to create content that connects with your audience it also hurts your efforts to use that content to rank higher and boost your SEO.
ALL THIS TO SAY, we can still leverage AI to help speed up the process and fill in the gaps where we’re lacking time or maybe even communication, and you can actually use it in a way that Google …. loves.
Google loves what the user loves. When a user searches for informational content that is simple, clear and concise, which AI happens to be good at creating. Google actually loves ai content when its used to provide more clarity and improve the users experience.
Here’s How I Use Chat GPT to Help me Create content Google loves and save myself HOURS of time.
#1. I focus on CLARITY and use ai to be a good assistant for that and that only.
I ask ChatGPT to shorten paragraphs of text that might go on and on and on or to help me simply an idea.
“Can you write this in a simpler way for my audience to understand?”
“Can you help me properly format and organize my blog into three clear subheadings?”
From this point forward, I do not (I repeat I DO NOT) copy and paste the results into my WordPress blog post and hit publish.
I’ll take what ChatGPT has given me and make sure the words sound like me, taking out words I would never naturally use and since my brand’s tone of voice is simple and informative I want to make sure that the content lines up with that.
I also want to make sure that my keywords are being used effectively and that I have opportunities to link to other relevant content within my post to help guide my reader along to more and more and more helpful information.
