How have you been doing?? New year, new me vibes still high? Or have some of those newly minted habits already fallen off. (Raising my own hand as I continue to sleep passed my alarm each morning 🥴). As a serial self-reflector, you’ll know I’ve spent way too much time thinking about how to achieve more in my business in 2024 and reflecting on the past year these last few weeks. All the good stuff, all the bad stuff, the things that went right and the things that didn’t go the way I expected them to.
Overall there are a lot of things I recognize I can be proud about last year.
I even surprised myself last year in crushing a personal goal that I wasn’t even particularly aiming that hard for.
The goal btw 👉 I wanted to try to do something that’s always been hard for me, to push myself to become physically stronger in a significant way; but instead of diving into a youtube rabbit hole, crafting a complicated workout plan and a regimented nutrition schedule, all I did was sign up for group classes at a gym I like, that were scheduled for times that I liked, where all I needed to do was show up. The result, I was able to show up consistently, every week, for months and months and months AND guys, I’m high-key in beast mode these days. 💪
Okay, you’re not really here because you care about my newly tanked biceps, I get it, but let’s backtrack.
→ I wasn’t even aiming that hard for this?
No, what I meant to say was that I wasn’t trying harder than I needed to. I wasn’t overcomplicating it.
The goal was simple, and the reason I was able to crush it is because the effort behind it, through full force, was also very simple.
So how am I going to do less and achieve more and achieve more in my business in 2024?
01: Do Less and Achieve More in Your Business by:Doing more, simpler.
This is my whole vibe going into 2024. From IG, emails, down to my offers; I’m doing more, simpler.
Why? Because I’m the kinda girl who wants to (needs to) dream big but at the same time feels overwhelmed and absolutely crushed by the weight of the big picture.
I want to do everything perfectly and uniquely (big 3w4 behaviour, tragique). in 2023 my toxic trait was putting WAY TO MUCH PRESSURE on myself, and it realize that’s honestly not realistic for me and my energetic capacity.
02: Do Less and Achieve More in Your Business by:Consistency
I’ve also learned that small wins are SCIENTIFICALLY important when it comes to staying consistent. I love what this neuroscientist had to say about it in this post.
Isn’t that what we’re all aiming for here? I’ve realized that the commitment to showing up and embodying my brand doesn’t have to be heavy or scary.
There are things that I can still do well, but start by simplifying the process, simplifying the format (notice no fancy graphics to share in this email, it was too much too ask for today 😅) and calling in help when I need it (via templates, via experts who are wicked good at making systems already)
So I leave you with this question;
What’s one thing you can do to simplify your process and achieve more in your business in 2024?
So many service providers I come into contact with are burning themselves out, bending over backwards to get folks to buy into their services and purchase their products, all while totally ghosting their 24/7 passive salesman (their website).
